Joan has been summering in St. Michaels since 1982, when her parents bought their retirement home here. In 2004 she moved into the house and opened Point Breeze Bed and Breakfast, from which she just retired in 2022. She has two children, Sarah (Mike) who lives in Brooklyn NY with granddaughter Billie, and Will (Cara) who lives in Nashville, TN. Joan is active in Christmas in St. Michaels as past Chair of the Board and current Chair of Marketplace Food and the Website Committees. She is an active member of the local chapter of P.E.O., supporting education for women. She loves to cross stitch, garden, and go junkin’ with the girls – explains her interest in helping with the Treasures Table at the Rummage Sales. She looks forward to continuing working with the Vestry as Treasurer.
This is the table, not of the Church, but of the Lord. It is made ready for those who seek God, those who love God, and those who want to love God more. So come, you who have much faith, and you who have little, or are questioning faith. Come, you who have been here often, and you who have not been for a long time or ever before. Come, you who have tried to follow and you who have failed. Come, not because the Church invites you; it is Christ who invites you to be known, to be fed, to be loved here.
