A native of Washington DC, Morna McEver Golletz grew up in Montgomery County and in Atlanta. A graduate of Maryville College in Maryville, TN, she went onto work as a commercial property underwriter in the insurance industry. After meeting and marrying Rand, they moved from Connecticut to Philadelphia where she worked as a fiber artist, teaching quilt making, selling her work, and being part of two fine-art cooperatives. With a move to Harrisburg, Morna went back to school and earned a Masters in Journalism from Temple University. In addition to free-lance writing, she published a magazine for professionals in the quilt and fiber arts industries. This led to her starting an international association and founding a three-day business conference for creatives in addition to offering an ongoing coaching program for creatives. Today Morna spends her time on a variety of artistic endeavors. Additionally, she is a certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss coach and enjoys exercise and walking. Other activities that bring her joy are reading, cooking, travelling, and spending time with Rand and their dog Button. She has lived in St. Michaels since 2010, first as a weekender and then as a full-time resident. As a member of the Vestry, she hopes to use her talents to continue to build a welcoming, caring, financially strong church community.
This is the table, not of the Church, but of the Lord. It is made ready for those who seek God, those who love God, and those who want to love God more. So come, you who have much faith, and you who have little, or are questioning faith. Come, you who have been here often, and you who have not been for a long time or ever before. Come, you who have tried to follow and you who have failed. Come, not because the Church invites you; it is Christ who invites you to be known, to be fed, to be loved here.
