The
Reverend Mark S. Nestlehutt, Rector
Mark
was called as 34th rector of Christ Church in the summer of
2003. Prior to coming to Christ Church, he served parishes in downtown
Chicago and Hingham, Massachusetts and was bishop’s aide
and chaplain in the Diocese of Massachusetts. A Georgia native,
Mark
attended seminary at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. Before ordination, he served as a naval officer
and
worked in banking and asset planning. An avid sailor, Mark lives
in St. Michael’s with his wife, Abigail, and children

The Reverend Abigail Crozier Nestlehutt, Associate Rector
Abigail serves as Associate Rector for Pastoral and Community Ministries
at Christ Church where she has coordinated new member incorporation,
Stephen Ministries and various pastoral initiatives. She also serves
as primary clergy liaison to the Church School. A native of Wellesley,
Massachusetts, Abigail was a varsity rower in high school and college
and worked as an admissions officer before ordination. She holds
degrees from Harvard Divinity School and The General Theological
Seminary in New York. Prior to coming to St. Michaels, Abigail served
parishes in downtown Chicago and Falmouth, Massachusetts. revabigail@christstmichaels.org

The Reverend Mary Garner, Assistant Rector
Mary began serving at Christ Church in May 2009 during the rector and associate rector's sabbaticals.
She continues to serve on the parish staff as Assistant Rector, working in a part-time capacity. A
native of Pennsylvania, Mary attended seminary at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. She is a very gifted preacher and pastoral counselor and has oversight for the Church
School and Youth programs at Christ Church. She lives in Easton with her husband and two daughters.

William R. Thomas, Director of Music & Organist
In 2007, William R. Thomas celebrated his 20th anniversary as Organist and
Director of Music at Christ Church - St. Michael's Parish. A native of
Pittsburgh, Bill earned the Master of Music degree from The Florida State University
School of Music. He is actively involved in music education, church music and music
theatre. In addition to his responsibilities at Christ Church, Bill is Assistant
Professor of Music at Chesapeake College. Bill and his wife Diane live in St. Michaels with their daughter Zoe.

Carol A. Osborne, Parish Administrator
Carol joined the Christ Church staff in October 2009 and is the friendly voice
that greets one on the telephone and in the parish office. An active Episcopalian,
Carol serves as Assistant Secretary of Diocesan Convention and on the board of Camp
Wright, our diocesan summer camp. Prior to joining us Carol served as parish
administrator at Christ Church on Kent Island and on the staff of the Diocese of Easton.

George E. Short, Sexton
George serves as our sexton and, in that capacity, has oversight for our buildings
and grounds upkeep and maintenance. He brings a wealth of talent and experience to our
parish and carries out his responsibilities with tremendous professionalism and friendliness.
A long-time resident of Talbot County and the Bay Hundred area, George lives in Wittman with
his wife Jennie. George joined our parish staff in September 2009.

Dominique Sturgis, Nursery Director
A fulltime caregiver at the St. Michaels’ Branch of Easton
Day Care, Dominique oversees and staffs the parish nursery on Sunday
mornings and for special parish events. Children and adults love
her and her spirit and personality generally win over even the most
“mommy-dependent” child.
